SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Adult services is responsible for the delivery of clinical services to adults and their families. These services include assessment and treatment planning, psychological and psychiatric evaluations, individual, group and family therapy, targeted case management and wraparound services, crisis intervention, and medication services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Manages the day to day operations of Adult services. Maintains a climate which attracts, keeps, and motivates a staff of top-quality people, ensuring retention is high. Ensures appropriate clinical supervision and case consultation for clinical staff including psychiatric consultation. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards maintaining licensure, certification, and accreditation. Coordinate inter-agency resources. Ensure program services and operations align with primary functions of the agency. Participates in all re-certification and monitoring activities. Organizes/develops in-service training opportunities for staff. Provides backup assistance to clinical supervisors and direct service staff. Identifies opportunities for program growth and develops/monitors programs to meet the need of the consumer’s served. Coaches staff as needed, provides counseling as needed. Monitors staff productivity and ensures compliance with targets. Conducts monthly audits of medical records for adherence to compliance standards and all necessary documentation on all aspects of clinical services as related to the individual clients including, but not limited to, the quality of progress notes, appropriate admission documents, assessments, treatment plans, completion of metabolic screenings, and all other time-sensitive tasks.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with experience in direct clinical services in menta and behavioral health working with adults.
Two years of experience managing programs is required. Experience in community mental health is preferred. Requires excellent clinical assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills of interpersonal engagement, DSM-V framework, and educational skill building. Effective oral and written communication skills.
CERTIFICATION OR LICENSE REQUIRED:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor is preferred.
