Sales Enablement and Process Lead

Purpose of Position:

This role is a critical partner for enablement of our sales processes and personnel reducing barriers and friction for client interactions, business development, and account management. This role is a member of the transformation team that aims to optimize underlying processes taken to deliver client value.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Manage Sales Tools and Systems

  • Define and Manage System Landscape: Optimize tools and technologies for business processes including selection of extensions and additional tools in alignment with the Digital team.
  • Prioritize Backlog: Determine system improvement and enhancement request priorities and manage backlog of tickets
  • Drive Adoption: Promote use of systems and tools, as designed, to ensure realization of intended benefits and value including regular trainings for teams.
  • Lead Team: Oversee Salesforce Administration team responsible for maintaining the source of truth for customer and opportunity management.
  • Improve Data Quality: Define and execute improvements to improve data quality, including regular reviews of existing data in the system to validate its completeness and accuracy.
Manage and Perform Reporting
  • System Reporting: Lead sales tool administration and reporting:
    1. Service Management: tickets received, tickets resolved, open ticket prioritization, etc
    2. System Health: usage rates, issue trends, etc.
  • Sales Reporting: Develop or enhance reporting to provide improved visibility into sales and opportunities through coordination with BI and Analytics team to ensure meaningful insights are derived from sales tools and systems

Deliver Process Improvements

  • Business Process Management: Create and maintain process documentation that details processes, sub-processes, and task level detail with responsible parties, systems used, reporting available, and any key outcomes or actions
  • Monitor and Assess Current State: Collect and refine challenges across the processes including analysis of impact and root cause
  • Define Future State: Develop, evaluate, and refine process improvement opportunities or requests and create future state process design proposals

Coordinate and Manage Executives and Cross-Functional Leadership

This role will only be successful if they are able to coordinate across a variety of stakeholders to manage expectations, drive transparency and alignment, and facilitate decision making. The primary people this role will work with are:

  • Executive Leadership: Division President, Regional VPs, CFO, Chief Controlling Officer
  • Commercial Teams: Sales Directors, Business Development Managers, Account Managers, Customer Success
  • Salesforce Administration: Salesforce administrators and developers
  • Operations: Manufacturing and Logistics, Sales Operations
  • Finance and Controlling: FP&A Teams, BI and Reporting Primary Partners and Stakeholders

Knowledge and Experience - Required:

  • Extensive experience using Salesforce technologies and extensions to optimize sales and service processes to drive efficiency, productivity, and revenue growth including administration, configuration, and customization
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, sales enablement, process improvement, or a related field within a B2B environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Knowledge and Experience - Desired:

  • Proficiency in analyzing sales and service metrics to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, pipeline management, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Sales Cloud Consultant are preferred but not required.

Travel:

  • As a Hybrid position, this role is expected to travel at least 25% of their time to headquarters, regional office locations, sales event locations, and potentially client sites.
