Summary of Responsibility

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Leadership and Hands-on Involvement : Maintain an active role in coding and technical decision-making, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Guide the team in adopting new technologies and best practices.
- People Management and Coaching : Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth. Act as a coach to enhance their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.
- Strategic Partnership with Product Owner : Act as the 'best friend' for the Product Owner, collaborating closely to shape product requirements, define scope, and ensure the team's work aligns with business goals.
- Project and Quality Management : Oversee project timelines, delivery, and quality. Implement and maintain rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborative Team Environment : Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and innovative team culture. Encourage continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stakeholder Communication : Serve as a key point of contact between the engineering team, product management, and other stakeholders. Ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and progress.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in technical leadership
- Strong tech. proficiency, architecture, and technology leadership skills are highly desirable (must have Ruby on Rails, CSS, HTML, Javascript, Typescript experience)
- Hands-on experience in handling cloud computing (ideal GCP, nice to have AWS)
- Good understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps tools and concepts
- Experience in people management, ideally in a technology-driven environment
- Strong hands-on technical skills with a deep understanding of software development processes and best practices
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with Product Owners and cross-functional teams
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams
- Passion for quality and delivery excellence, with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated expertise in software development methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
