A leading digital streaming network seeks a Music Supervision Director to lead the creative music strategy for a portfolio of theatrical film productions, overseeing all aspects of music development from early production through final delivery.
Music Supervision Director Responsibilities:
- Partner with directors, producers, and creative leadership to develop and execute the musical vision for multiple feature films, guiding development through post-production.
- Oversee all creative music elements, including score, source music, composers, temp music, spotting sessions, recording sessions, and final mixes.
- Build and manage relationships with composers, artists, filmmakers, music editors, and external music partners while guiding creative collaboration throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, post-production, legal, business affairs, finance, marketing, and music clearance to ensure music is delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with licensing requirements.
- Manage multiple film projects simultaneously while supporting soundtrack, marketing, publicity, awards initiatives, and overall music strategy for theatrical releases.
Music Supervision Director Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in music supervision, film music, or creative music roles within a theatrical film or studio environment.
- Experience supervising music for feature films from development through post-production.
- Knowledge of film scoring, source music, and the creative music production process.
- Established relationships with composers, filmmakers, artists, and music industry professionals.
- Experience working within a major theatrical film studio is preferred.
- Experience collaborating directly with high-profile filmmakers and creative talent is preferred.
- Knowledge of music licensing, music clearance, and music budgeting is preferred.
Shift:
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
