Registered Nurse (Health Care Homes Department)

People's Health Centers (PHC), through its mission, provides comprehensive primary healthcare, such as pediatrics, internal medicine, OB/GYN, dental, mammography, behavioral health, pharmacy, WIC, radiology, podiatry and laboratory services, to meet the health needs of the entire community. PHC provides quality health care and social services to thousands of uninsured and medically underserved people in the St. Louis community.

This position includes care management of pediatric clients with asthma, obesity, ADHD and other chronic diseases.  The nurse will be responsible for monthly contact with the client, transportation arrangement, in house visits when client is in the health center, appointment scheduling and all aspects of routine primary care

Peoples Health Center has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse in the Health Care Home Department. This position is responsible for; planning organizing, and directing daily activities.  Observes techniques of and services rendered by nursing staff and provides nursing care for patients in department. Provides training, and direction to new employees.  Identifies problem areas in department such as understaffing, absenteeism and wastefulness and takes corrective action.  Monitors use of supplies and equipment to avoid abuse and orders supplies as needed. 

Must hold current Missouri license; have a minimum of two years recent experience in large physicians network/office to include pediatrics; possess strong leadership skills; at least one year experience in outpatient clinic or community health center in internal medicine and women’s health and must possess a CPR Certification.
