Job Description:

The Creative Expressions Therapist is responsible for the delivery of clinical services to children and their families. These services include intake, assessment and treatment planning, individual, group and family therapy, targeted case management and wraparound services, crisis intervention, and transportation services for the identified client. This position coordinates with all operations of the Creative Expressions Program.


Participates in interdisciplinary team staffing’s to ensure that therapy referrals from the children’s program are followed up in an appropriate manner.  Participates in ongoing clinical supervision and monitoring activities to include achieving clinical licensure with external regulatory bodies. Adheres to staff productivity requirements and follows all pre-established goals as it pertains to direct service requirements and completion of required documentation.   Ensures case management schedules are full and being scheduled according to scheduling guidelines to ensure maximum productivity. Utilizes and develops effective tracking systems to monitor the timely completion of all critical documentation. Utilize individualized therapeutic components, such as play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, CBT therapy, TF-CBT therapy, and other therapeutic components that may be of assistance while encouraging the consumers/parent to participate throughout the course of the program. A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with experience in direct clinical services in mental health working with children and families.  Three years of experience in clinical supervision is required.  Experience in community mental health is preferred.

Requires excellent clinical assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills.  Must demonstrate knowledge and skills of interpersonal engagement, DSM-IV framework, educational skill building, and child protection.  Effective oral and written communication skills.


Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor is required  with "TRAUMA" experience  Provisional Licensed with two years of clinical experience is accepted.
