Sr. Front End Developer

Technology and Infrastructure | El Segundo, CA | Full Time

Job Description

The Sr. Front End Developer will work closely with Software Engineers, Web Designers, and Production Teams to plan, collaborate, and build efficient web interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Javascript frameworks, and similar innovative Front End Engineering technologies for mobile and desktop web applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Build next-generation scalable websites that look great on all devices; computers, tablets, and smartphones, in rich responsive design
  • Translate designs into compelling user-centric experiences; design and build a scalable framework for web applications
  • Stay up-to-date with design and development tools, techniques and software applications, while providing technical expertise to the teams
  • Lead design and code reviews; collaborate with other teams on the planning, development, and execution of all design efforts
  • Develop a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks

Work Experience 

  • 6+ years of web application development experience
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred but not required

 Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required

 Knowledge/Skills 

  • Expert knowledge in developing rich and responsive applications with HTML/CSS/Javascript
  • Knowledgeable in popular Javascript frameworks such as jQuery, React, Angular.js, Vue.js and Node.js
  • Knowledge of development frameworks and tools such as Sass, Foundation, Bootstrap, Webpack, Grunt.js or Gulp.js
  • Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components
  • Experience with version control using SVN or Git
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and communicate with both clients and team members in a professional and courteous manner
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
