The Role

Want to join a sales program for a high profile startup that’s helping customers like Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, and Atlassian inspire software developers all over the world? Devpost is looking for a motivated sales professional with a desire to make an impact and a track record of success selling B2B services into startups and/or enterprises. This individual will focus on selling our software engineering jobs platform and services to companies hiring full-time and intern engineers. A pipeline of warm leads will be inherited, but success will rely heavily on establishing new relationships.

This role will be based in our New York City headquarters. We need superb individuals who can make an impact and keep up with our exceptional team.

  • 3+ years of experience closing B2B technology sales with a verifiable track record of exceeding expectations

  • Passionate about software changing the world

  • Strong abilities in targeted prospecting, opportunistic networking, and consultative selling

  • Confident speaking publicly, delivering presentations, writing compelling copy, and tracking progress in a CRM

  • Ability to improvise and own decisions in a rapidly evolving industry and startup environment


  • Familiar with hacker/hackathon culture and developer hiring or evangelism

  • Existing relationships with hiring teams

  • Basic understanding of software development skills and components


  • Identify prospect companies and target decision makers

  • Set up introductory calls or in-person meetings, assess needs, and convey value proposition

  • Write thoughtful proposals, close deals by website or contract

  • Find and attend relevant conferences and other public events on company’s behalf (~15% travel)

  • Seek referrals from industry partners

  • Cross-sell other products and services, or refer to other team members as appropriate
