About the Job
B2B marketing is a fairly new function at Devpost. Our efforts until recently have been sales-driven, and we are looking to scale fast with the help of an experienced marketing leader. Our ideal customer profile includes large and mid-size enterprises and often includes Engineering, Innovation, or product marketing leaders.
The ideal candidate has experience leveraging content, SEO/SEM, and website optimization to drive inbound leads in a B2B SaaS environment. They have bold ideas (and examples to back them up) on using email, automation, webinars, in-person events and other tactics to generate and nurture leads with long sales cycles.
The Head of Marketing at Devpost will be responsible for driving customer (B2B) and user (B2C) growth, and will join our executive team. You will spend most of your time developing and executing B2B demand gen programs with our Content marketing manager while providing strategic oversight to our B2C developer marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing to increase online visibility and sales pipeline
- With our Content lead, create and manage a content strategy that clearly communicates our value proposition on our website, blog posts, case studies, guides, newsletters, and other collateral
- Create and execute inbound and outbound campaigns that build pipeline (webinars, ABM campaign drip programs, site retargeting, etc)
- Manage event sponsorships and partnerships to raise the company profile and support sales goals
- Report on marketing performance, provide guidance and mentorship to the team (B2B content marketer and developer marketers) and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Join our executive team with strategic and operational responsibilities over the company's direction and success
Skill, Experience, and Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience, and a proven track record of driving demand and pipeline growth at B2B SaaS companies
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to marketing
- Expertise in SEO, website optimization, email marketing, social media and paid advertising
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation, CRM, and web analytics tools
- Have worked closely with sales teams to generate new leads and nurture existing ones
- Are passionate about the ways software applications are transforming the world
