JOB DESCRIPTION
Circadence Corporation is seeking a Cyber Training Lead with expertise in cyber training program design and familiarity working with Large Language Models (LLMs) to rapidly prototype and deliver high quality instructional material. The Cyber Training Lead will use their expertise to develop innovative, educational cyber range scenarios to enhance training initiatives, improve cyber readiness, and amplify skills observability in global enterprises, government agencies, and academic institutions. This role involves developing comprehensive cybersecurity training programs to create adaptive, scalable, and immersive learning experiences for cybersecurity professionals and aspiring cybersecurity professionals alike. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented professional passionate about cybersecurity education and hands-on learning and offers a fast track to team management. You will collaborate with cybersecurity experts, AI researchers, and engineers to create immersive and interactive training experiences that enhance cyber readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Development: Design, create, implement, and refine enterprise-level cybersecurity training programs for global enterprises, government, and academic organizations, aligned with industry standard frameworks (NIST/NICE, ATT&CK, etc.) as necessary.
- Scenario & Lab Creation: Develop structured curriculum materials, hands-on labs, and realistic cyber-attack and defense scenarios, leveraging tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark, Metasploit, and Security Onion tailored to industry trends and customer needs.
- Utilize AI Tooling and LLMs: Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate content generation, develop workflows for creating interactive training assistants, explore methods to personalize training based on learner progress, and explore ways to incorporate threat emulation, adversary simulation, and incident response training.
- Leverage Gamification & Interactive Learning: Integrate gamification elements, such as story-driven learning path motivation and automated adversaries to enhance cybersecurity skills training.
- Stay Informed on Cybersecurity Advancements: Stay current on impactful cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to ensure training content remains fresh and relevant.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with cyber range engineers, AI engineers, and product teams to identify features that help you to build realistic cyber environments.
- Assessment Development: Serve as a stakeholder in the design of competency-based, data-driven assessments to measure learners’ progress and cybersecurity skills proficiencies to inform user progress and internal content improvement processes alike.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity training, instructional design, and/or range engineering for government, academic, or enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience in security operations, threat analysis, incident response, or red team engagements is preferred.
- Experience with prompt engineering and LLMs (GPT-based models, Claude, or open-source equivalents) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes, incident response, adversarial behavior and TTPs.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, risk management, and threat detection.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies such as EDR/XDRs, SIEMs, IDS/IPS, red team and penetration testing tools, and digital forensics software.
- Experience with cloud environments and security preferred.
- Experience using cyber ranges or products leveraging cyber ranges for hands-on learning preferred.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.
- Familiarity with network and endpoint detection rule formats such as YARA, BPF, or those used by open-source IDS/IPS tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with government cyber training standards (DoD 8140, NIST NICE Framework).
Soft Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and innovative in instructional content development.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Remote experience or an ability to be self-sufficient and autonomous to meet goals in a remote setting.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot, utilize a knowledge base, and further investigate to fix a problem.
- Education: Relevant applied experience across pedagogical and technical areas outlined above will be used as the primary qualification for this role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Graduate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred. Industry certifications such as those from ISC2, GIAC, EC-Council, OffSec, or CompTIA are a plus.
- Experience developing and delivering cybersecurity training content for government agencies, military, academic, or enterprise-level organizations.
- Teaching experience at the university level.
- Experience in red/blue/purple team leadership or training.

- This position could be remote but with a preference for hybrid work in Boulder, CO.
- Competitive salary: Range is $125,000-$185,000 commensurate with experience and skill set.
