Job Summary
Circadence is seeking a driven, customer-focused Product Manager to lead strategic product development and lifecycle management for Project Ares—our award-winning, gamified, cloud-hosted cybersecurity training platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. Designed to prepare the next generation of cyber defenders, Project Ares offers on-demand, scenario-based cyber range experiences that simulate real-world threats and security operations.
In this high-impact role, you will serve as the link between engineering, design, curriculum development, and business stakeholders. You will own the product vision and roadmap, define success metrics, and drive cross-functional alignment to continuously evolve the platform in alignment with user needs and company objectives. This is a remote position requiring strong self-direction and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
•Own and evolve the strategic product vision for Project Ares in partnership with executive leadership and engineering leads.
•Translate business goals and user needs into clear product roadmaps, epics, and feature requirements.
•Identify new opportunities through user research, market trends, competitor analysis, and stakeholder input.
User-Centered Development
•Work closely with cyber scenario developers, customers, and internal teams to understand pain points and use cases.
•Advocate for user experience in every phase of the development lifecycle—prioritizing usability, interactivity, and realism in training scenarios against delivery schedules.
•Gather continuous feedback through interviews, surveys, and usage data to inform product iteration.
Execution & Delivery
•Define and maintain product backlog in coordination with engineering and content development teams.
•Write clear, concise product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
•Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and product reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Partner with the engineering team to scope technical requirements, manage trade-offs, and maintain delivery cadence.
•Work with curriculum designers and cyber range engineers to translate learning objectives into platform features.
•Collaborate with marketing and sales to craft compelling messaging and enablement for new releases.
Measurement & Optimization
•Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track platform engagement, retention, and user success.
•Use data analytics and reporting to evaluate product performance and guide continuous improvement.
•Drive A/B testing and hypothesis-driven experimentation.
Qualifications
Required Experience
•5+ years of product management experience in a SaaS, EdTech, or cybersecurity technology company.
•Proven success managing complex cloud-based software products through full lifecycle: discovery, delivery, and optimization.
•Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Technical Acumen
•Strong understanding of software systems and infrastructure, ideally including cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, and APIs.
•Ability to engage with engineering teams on technical tradeoffs and feasibility.
Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
•Experience in cybersecurity, cyber range platforms, or training/education technologies.
•Knowledge of cyber operations, threat emulation, or red/blue teaming methodologies.
Core Competencies
•Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
•Customer empathy and data-driven decision-making.
•Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams.
