Analytics Specialist

Digital Marketing | Remote - NY or Boston | Full Time

Job Description

Job Purpose:

As the Analytics Specialist, you will be utilizing platforms and tools to advance the digital strategy capabilities of Cendyn and our clients. You will be conducting research and analyzing industry data to identify trends/opportunities and will be communicating data and learnings through reports and presentations. The idea candidate will be very passionate about doing research in the hospitality industry and be able to transform information to all stakeholders.

 Essential Functions:

  1. Participate in analytics solution design and implementation for hotel websites and third-party shopping carts
  2. Collaborate with various internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure successful completion of analytics deliverables in a timely manner.
  3. Produce reporting and perform analysis on hotel website traffic and conversion by funneling in data from various data sources into Google Data Studio.
  4. Train clients and internal teams on Google Analytics and other analytics related platforms
  5. Work with Account Managers and clients to answer analytics and reporting related questions



Non-Essential Functions:




Required Education and Experience:

  1. BA or BS with strong analytical skills
  2. 1-2 year(s) of experience in web analytics field
  3. Passionate about making sense of data
  4. Experience with Google Analytics and Data Studio
  5. Familiar with Google Tag Manager
  6. Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL or BigQuery)
  7. Fluency with MS Excel


Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Salesforce experience a Plus
  2. Experience reporting on and analyzing e-commerce websites
  3. Hands-on JavaScript and HTML knowledge
  4. Familiarity with the hospitality industry
  5. Experience with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Tag Manager (DTM/LAUNCH)
  6. Experience with Adobe Audience Manager

  11. Google Analytics and/or AdWords certification a plus


Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment. Working in an office environment requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to work with others in a moderately noisy open office environment with centrally controlled head/AC setting.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.


This position requires up to 5% travel. Travel may be outside the local area and overnight
