Approximate Schedule: Monday/Thursday 8:30am -12:50pm
Instructor needed for General Chemistry II Lecture: Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:30-9:50 and General Chemistry II Lab: Monday mornings from 10am-12:50pm. Adjunct instructors for General Chemistry II lecture and labs must be qualified to teach the fundamental principles of chemistry including measurement, atomic structure, stoichiometry, energy relationships, chemical bonding, molecular structure, and gases. Applicants must also be qualified in laboratory techniques including, but not limited to: sample preparation, data collection, gravimetric analysis, and titration.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting classes in accordance with Cecil College approved syllabi and the stipulations of the department. The successful candidate will also be responsible for meeting every scheduled class, including the final examination, for the full number of scheduled minutes in the room assigned. Any changes in meeting place or time must be reported to the office of Academic Programs prior to the class meeting.
Masters degree required. Teaching experience preferred. Familiarity with the use of technology (online learning management systems, etc) Proficient in word processing, e-mail and web browsing.
