Casaplex is seeking to expand its team in the greater Washington, DC market with a proven technical Sales Engineer, capable of supporting the development of hardware and software configurations for new business opportunities in both the residential and commercial markets for products and services associated with integrated Smart Home/Office systems. The successful candidate will also participate in client site visits and presentations, as well as coordinate with internal members of the implementation team to ensure accuracy.
Candidates will demonstrate the ability to create engineered configurations based on a unique platform of hardware and software products to deliver features and functions in the areas of Networks, Systems Automation Control, Audio and Video Distribution, CCTV, Security, Lighting Control, Motorized Shades and other similar areas associated with entertainment systems and low voltage control environments. In addition, the sales engineer will be responsible for maintaining configuration tools including the accuracy of components offered and current pricing.
A proven track record in technical Sales Engineering and an understanding of cradle-to-grave project workflow is required. Successful candidates will be self driven and capable of managing support for multiple consecutive sales opportunities.
Provide exceptional service response to our clients by finding solutions to their technical issues while assisting with the day-to-day operations for Casaplex’ Client Services initiatives. Follow-up with clients to provide status updates, ensure client satisfaction, and maintain high-levels of communication.
Field incoming client communications via phone and email.
Conduct tier 1 issue investigation, troubleshooting and service consultation, document any client concerns, recommend necessary service and promote the sale of managed services contracts.
Provide estimates as needed and complete Service Call documentation
Maintain consistent contact with clients for the duration of each Service Call, and establsh close lines of communication to help build long-term client loyalty.
Discuss service calls and repairs with Technicians and keep clients updated on the status of their smart building systems.
Review and explain invoices with clients and ensure work has been completed to their satisfaction.
Schedule follow up service calls and preventative maintenance services
Handle calls regarding technical and service related inquiries.
- No fewer than three (3) years’ technical Sales Engineering experience
- Ability to address both Commercial and Residential markets
- College Degree preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of basic construction practices
- Ability to read and create basic construction floor plans
- Computer skills including ability to navigate ERP, CRM and other software systems
- Compensation is based on Base Salary plus Override Bonus
