  • Worksite: Leading biotechnology company (Tucson, AZ 85755 - Hybrid, Must be able to work between two different locations and work onsite 3 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays at one campus, and on Wednesdays at the other campus))

A leading biotechnology company is seeking a Sourcing Manager - Diagnostics Direct Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing direct procurement operations activities, ensuring alignment with category management strategies.

Sourcing Manager - Diagnostics Direct Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Focus on supplier management, escalations, master data management, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a negotiation plan/strategy. May need assistance in leading complex or challenging negotiations.

Sourcing Manager - Diagnostics Direct Procurement Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buying.
  • Bachelor's degree (Business-related).
  • Post-degree business qualification is preferred.
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs.
  • Experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies, as well as experience in Life Science, is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools, and eSourcing tools is desired.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, lab chemicals, medical and clinical supplies, or a related area is preferred.
  • Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative data to drive decisions.
  • Identify risks to support statements or hypotheses.
  • Understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind.
  • Basic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process.
