Senior Revenue Accountant 1131616 (H)

A leading video, audio, and voice technologies company is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant. The successful candidate will manage UAT testing of system changes, and manual workarounds, and support local statutory reporting and local tax filings. The ideal candidate has prior experience working with Big 4 Accounting firms (KPMG, PWC, EY, Deloitte). The company offers a great work environment!

Senior Revenue Accountant Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $45/hr

  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment, Possible extension

Senior Revenue Accountant Responsibilities: 

  • Review and analyze transactions to ensure accurate revenue treatment, determine third-party royalty payments, etc. in accordance with existing contracts. In the case of new deals or contracts, research and validate appropriate treatment.
  • Reconcile accounts related to revenue, such as revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, unrecognized revenue, expense accruals related to third party payments, cost of sales, and other accounts as needed
  • Perform various closing duties for assigned area and other areas as needed, including preparation and review of work, reconciliations, system functions, etc. Work must be performed with sufficient accuracy and autonomy to ensure compliance with quarter-close SOX controls.
  • Review non-standard contracts, identify potential revenue recognition issues, summarize such issues, and recommend accounting treatment based on relevant accounting literature.
  • Resolve any systems issues affecting assigned areas and partner with IT on the development and most efficient use of SAP.
  • Assist external and internal auditors as deemed necessary.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to influence best practices.
  • Prepare internal executive review summaries for quarterly senior management financial statement review procedures.
  • Assist in the coaching and developing of junior staff as deemed necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Senior Revenue Accountant Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience working with Big 4 Accounting firms (KPMG, PWC, EY, Deloitte).
  • Experience with calculating payment for 3rd party royalties is preferred.

Shift:

  •  9/80 work schedule.
