A leading digital streaming network is looking for a QA Engineer - API. The successful candidate will work with developers, product managers, QA team members, and operations team members to ensure deliverables are timely and meet expectations. The ideal candidate has the ability to test at the REST API level using various tools like Postman and CharlesProxy, to ensure the correct API requests and responses are made for each endpoint under test for our digital streaming applications. QA Engineer - API Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $50-$55/hr
- Worksite: Leading digital broadcasting and media company (Burbank, CA 91505, Open to Remote)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k
- 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment, Possible extension
QA Engineer - API Responsibilities:
Work as part of Agile Scrum Teams to ensure REST API and web services are working correctly.
Use various REST API Testing tools like Postman or CharlesProxy, to construct and test REST API endpoints to test web services deployed in test and production-like environments.
Document and train other team members in testing at the REST API level.
Ensure all REST API CRUD operations work as desired.
Manage regression test REST APIs for Release Candidates using pre-built suites of tests.
Manage integration test Ui and API, on desktop , mobile.
Attend agile planning sessions for both REST API and backend services teams.
QA Engineer - API Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in REST API and Web Services Testing.
Experience using REST API tools like Postman, Swagger, or CharlesProxy.
Experience coaching, training, and mentoring QA engineers in REST API Testing Methods.
Experience in SAFE Agile Practices.
Experienced in APM tools New Relic.
Experience in Apache Solr.
Experience Testing on various platforms like Web, Mobile, and OTT Devices.
Experience Testing multi-media or Video Streaming Applications.
Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with both a technical and non-technical audience
