PR Coordinator 872824 (H) 

We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented and customer obsessed PR Coordinator contractor for our Newark office. This position will provide support for the Consumer Public Relations team. The successful candidate will be able to work fast and is detail-oriented, highly organized, and reliable. They will also be career-oriented and results-driven with a strong desire to take on increasing levels of responsibility.  As a PR Coordinator, they will work with the Consumer PR team and a wide variety of cross functional teams to help execute content launches and proactive PR strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive successful launches and press attention for our consumer product
  • Create press releases, pitches and other content to secure positive media coverage with print, broadcast and online outlets 
  • Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges 
  • Dive deep into our service to determine PR and product challenges and opportunities to effectively drive a successful PR strategy 
  • Support a team of PR colleagues by managing department administrative responsibilities
  • Assisting the PR Team in driving toward tactical results
  • Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with media professionals
  • Daily press tracking
  • Press coverage clipping
  • Asset coordination
  • PR Activity Grid management
  • Contact database management
  • Compiling weekly press highlights
  • Scheduling support
  • Press day support, including planning and execution
  • PR event support, including planning and execution

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of work experience, preferably in PR
  • Passion and enthusiasm for innovative audio entertainment content
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand concepts quickly and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to connect with colleagues regularly over video calls

 Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in technology and/or entertainment PR
  • Previous experience at a PR Agency or in-house on a PR team
