A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for patients of all ages in an acute care setting, developing individualized treatment plans, promoting functional independence, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, and serving as a clinical resource while delivering high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services.
Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients of all ages and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on functional assessments, clinical findings, and patient goals.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilities, independence, and overall quality of life.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate to optimize outcomes and support safe discharge planning.
- Educate patients, family members, caregivers, students, and healthcare professionals on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and ongoing care recommendations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
Occupational Therapist Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation techniques, treatment planning, rehabilitation principles, and discharge planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare team members.
Shift:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
