A leading medical institution is seeking a Medical Staff Coordinator. The successful candidate will collect, analyze, and report medical staff quality data, including OPPE, FPPE, and peer review metrics, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to facilitate ongoing professional evaluation and performance improvement processes.

Medical Staff Quality Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and report OPPE, FPPE, and peer review data to support medical staff performance evaluation and improvement.
  • Maintains the accuracy and integrity of medical staff databases, ensuring timely and consistent data entry and reporting.
  • Supports professionalism and peer review investigations by preparing case summaries, tracking outcomes, and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Participates in medical staff committees and quality meetings, contributing data insights and supporting agenda preparation and documentation.
  • Monitors compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards related to credentialing, privileging, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Develops and generates recurring and ad-hoc reports for medical staff leadership, using analytical tools and databases.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to improve data quality, streamline processes, and support accreditation readiness.

Medical Staff Quality Specialist Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant healthcare or clinical experience, ideally within a medical staff office or quality department.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; clinical or healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience managing OPPE, FPPE, and professionalism cases in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, trend analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with databases and data visualization tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory standards related to credentialing and medical staff evaluation.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
