The successful candidate will lead complex data-driven analyses using clinical and financial healthcare data to support strategic decision-making for hospitals, collaborating with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to drive performance improvements and operational insights.. Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex clinical and financial data to support strategic hospital decision-making.
  • Define and execute a variety of analytical projects based on client needs and business objectives.
  • Interface with executive and physician leadership to present findings and recommendations.
  • Audit data from multiple systems for accuracy and investigate any discrepancies or variances.
  • Collaborate with technical and professional teams to identify issues and drive performance improvements.
  • Benchmark hospital and medical group operations against industry best practices and internal goals.
  • Translate clinical and operational needs into financial and data-driven insights.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare industry trends, financial models, and operational strategies.
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL, SAS, and EMR systems (e.g., Epic, EPSi) for analysis and reporting.

Financial Analyst Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in hospital or medical group financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare, Finance, Business, or related discipline).
  • Master’s degree (MBA or MPH) - Preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau for data visualization.
  • Experience with hospital decision support and EMR systems (e.g., EPSi, Epic).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SAS, SQL, and Visual Basic.
  • Experience using Visio and Microsoft Publisher.
  • Familiarity with healthcare coding systems (e.g., ICD-10-CM/PCS, UB-04, HCPCS, MS DRG, CPT).
  • Understanding of commercial HMO/PPO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal reimbursement mechanisms.

Financial Analyst Shift:

  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
