Event Technology Sales Manager

Job Description

Position Overview

The Event Technology Sales Manager oversees all aspects of the sales process, from tentative lead management, customer site visits, through event completion and customer follow-up by using the company's CRM tool. In this role, you will achieve consistent high levels of client satisfaction by identifying customer needs and providing solutions to drive revenues and value.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Drive revenue by consistently achieving and surpassing budget sales goals.

  • Ensure that each client’s needs and goals are clearly communicated and represented.

  • Act as liaison between client and internal teams.

  • Solicit and receive constant feedback from clients on their level of satisfaction, areas for improvement and areas of success. Share feedback with internal teams and Sales Directors on a consistent basis.

  • Work with account executives, operations and accounting to ensure internal SOP is adhered to.

  • Ensure orders follow internal approval process. Stay in constant communication with Sales Director throughout the process.

  • Make any changes needed to the AV order before, during, or post show to ensure invoice accuracy.

  • Partner with Accounting and Operations team post-show to ensure a timely and accurate invoice is produced to the client.

  • Work closely with all internal departments and individuals to deliver the highest level of profitability on every event.

  • Stay informed on current technology trends and concepts by connecting with AV Concepts design team.

  • Perform knowledge sessions to develop knowledge of each upcoming group to properly engage the client.

  • Work cohesively with hotel sales and catering staff to support the hotel closing the sale of the contract, as well as selling AV services to the end meeting group.

  • Attend designated site visits with hotel sales and catering staff, as well as pre-convention meetings.

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service to customers holding events in the hotel, as well as the hotel management team.

  • Work schedule to mirror onsite sales team at the hotel venue. Hours are expected to be approximately 8am-5pm but will require some evenings and weekends.

  • Expected to kick off events with customers

  • Create post-show report for client on all shows. Report must consist of both positive and constructive results from show and contain feedback from client.

  • Review report with any appropriate parties (including client when appropriate).

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.


Job Qualifications
  • Prior sales experience in venues with an audio visual focus or similar field.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas

  • Possess ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail..

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse clientele.

  • Prior CRM experience across multiple platforms (Zoho, SalesForce, etc.)

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • High level of professionalism.
