Regional Venue Sales Director

AV Concepts is a full service event production company with a long history in corporate, association, tradeshow, exhibit, staging and venues.
The Regional Venue Sales Director is responsible for primarily supporting sales and taking the lead on large revenue opportunities. In this role, you will partner with and manage our venue sales teams using your technical knowledge and management skills to identify the most valuable revenue opportunities. Discover clients' needs, brainstorm innovative ideas that are tailored to the clients, build proposals and assist in selling creative solutions that fit within the clients’ budget. The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience with an emphasis on multi-location management of hotel/venue sales. This role will also be responsible for assigning venue client requests to the on-site sales staff to follow up on, supporting high value sales efforts across assigned venue portfolios.
Summary of Essential Job Duties
Drive the regional sales strategy within our venues portfolio. This includes leading the sales staff within the region, managing the highest value clients yourself and assigning the balance of events to the on-site sales staff.
Actively review and manage the venues pipelines, identify opportunities to add AV Concepts services including but not limited to core audio visual services, power, rigging, and creative services.
Develop consultative sales techniques and help support the sales efforts of the venue sales teams, holding them accountable for their client follow up and overall revenue goals.
Actively participate in sales calls and on-site client visits.
Qualify and quantify the customers holistic needs in AV, Event Technology, Production, Content, Creative and all technical event needs.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasting for the assigned regional venues.
When appropriate, assist in building client proposals, ensuring that they reflect the client's objectives and overall goals for their event.
Serve as the primary point of contact and responsible for strengthening the relationship with our local Convention Centers and Visitors Bureaus. This includes meeting with them on a regular basis and uncover opportunities to work closely together on events/groups that they are bringing to the region.
Provide responsive solutions to customer needs, iterating as the project develops and overcoming objections.
Ensure all known opportunities are in CRM and completely accurate and updated at all times. Notify the company's Sales Leadership of any high value clients that would be a good fit for a national partnership.
Partner with department and event leads to answer any design, power, or labor-related questions.
Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quotas.

Prerequisites
5+ years of sales experience, ideally in the audio-visual/staging/production industry or hospitality industry.
Solid understanding of all aspects that go into executing an event, ideally from an audio-visual perspective.
Background in managing sales teams.
Experience managing projects within a budget.
Experience managing company partnerships is a plus.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
