IT Network Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented IT Network Support Specialist to join our team in Washington, USA.

This role involves providing network management, infrastructure support, and front-line IT assistance in a corporate environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in network administration, server management, and cloud technologies, along with excellent communication skills to support end-users effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

  • Troubleshoot network issues, utilizing tools for diagnosing and resolving connectivity problems.

  • Administer network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Support server management, including Windows Server and Linux environments.

  • Maintain and monitor cloud-based services, particularly within Microsoft Azure.

  • Utilize virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V to manage virtual infrastructure.

  • Provide first-line IT support and address technical queries from employees.

  • Assist with front desk IT duties, including onboarding new employees and setting up IT equipment.

  • Document and track IT issues, solutions, and system updates for future reference.

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to enhance system efficiency and security.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in network management and infrastructure support.

  • Experience with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools.

  • Knowledge of server management (Windows Server, Linux).

  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.

  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Customer Service Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees.

  • Experience in a front desk or customer-facing IT support role.

Relevant Experience:

  • Previous experience in IT support or network administration.

  • Experience working in a corporate environment, particularly handling front desk IT duties.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):

  • CompTIA Network+

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

  • Other relevant networking/infrastructure certifications
