Payment and Fraud Manager

Job Description

As the Payment and Fraud Manager, you will be responsible for payments operation, payments data analysis and business intelligence, risk management, business process improvement, and processor relationship management. You will lead a small team of chargeback and risk specialists to manage credit card network compliance and implement best payment practices. You will report directly to the VP of Operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the payments and fraud operations, including monitoring payment processing and gateway activities, credit brand compliance, payments and fraud data analysis

  • Own and develop payments and fraud metrics. Develop weekly and monthly reporting to monitor fraud metrics, overall payments operational performance and trend

  • Provide business analysis and intelligence around payment optimization, decline salvage, account updater, payment user experiences, etc.

  • Recommend potential optimizations to maximize revenue by reducing operating costs, mitigating losses and/or improve the consumer experience

  • Manage and coordinate with partners like processors/acquirers, gateways and fraud service providers, to effectively address imminent issues and develop medium to long-term solutions

  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to improve our payment systems and payment user experiences

  • Identifying operational gaps in current process and proposing operational requirements for new projects

  • Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, essential fraud issues, and solution plans and readiness timelines to senior management and executives


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing

  • 3+ years of experience with payment operations and risk management

  • 3+ years of experience with credit card association regulations and compliance

  • 3+ years of experience with business analysis and business intelligence

  • Experience within CNP (card not present) subscription-based business model

  • Basic to intermediate SQL and/or advanced Excel skills preferred

  • Tableau Creator experience preferred

  • Experience with data analysis and data mining

  • Experience with vendor management (payment processors, gateway partners, etc.)
