Position Description

ShareThis seeks an individual to build mutually beneficial partnerships with  data providers, marketing technology companies, and leading analytics and professional services companies to support our strategic growth plans. 


Lead in expanding the portfolio of ShareThis partnerships, including partnerships of three types

  1. Although ShareThis relies mainly on its own data as its primary source for data products, you will help ShareThis license incremental data assets needed to address new market opportunities.  

  2. You will help ShareThis grow revenues and visibility in key industry verticals through partnerships with recognized specialist data and solution providers, often involving a mutual exchange of services

  3. You will engage with prospects and current customers where joint product development or coordinated go-to-market programs could result in significant benefits for ShareThis. 

For each supplier or partnering opportunity you will 

  • Identify best candidates and a rationale for partnership

  • Working with ShareThis executives, optimally engage potential suppliers/partners.  

  • Explore non-standard as well as straightforward business relationships  

  • Run effective decision-making and partnering processes yielding needed relationships on ambitious timelines, including contract negotiation

  • Drive implementation to ensure full capture of planned results.

Take ownership for the success of an existing portfolio of business relationships.

Establish a strategy and goals for the partnership program, working closely with ShareThis executives, to include a mix of product, revenue and strategic objectives.

What You’ll Need


  • A track record of successful creation and management of business partnerships

  • Knowledge and experience in one or more relevant business contexts, such as marketing or advertising technology and/or data products

  • Previous roles that included responsibility for delivering against top line goals

  • An open and problem-solving approach to structuring business relationships

  • A well developed skill set in areas such as business and partner assessment, structuring go-to-market programs, negotiation, and relationship management

  • 8 years or more of business experience, preferably across a mix of roles and disciplines that could include business development, sales, account management, product management, and/or supplier/partner management.

  • Effective at building and managing a substantial pipeline of opportunities, moving some to successful milestones every month, while keeping longer term projects moving steadily forward

  • Good judgment in determining which opportunities to pursue and which to declin.

  • Superior communication skills, including presentations, use of productivity and collaboration software tools, and contracting, but also able to engage the attention and interest of prospective partners through conversation

  • Resourceful in finding ways to gain introductions and initiate conversations with potential partners 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent


  • Strong relevant domain expertise in one or more of the following areas data products, marketing, analytics, internet technology

  • Experience in startup environments where a new product was taken to market successfully. 

  • An advanced degree in a professional or technical discipline, such as business, statistics, or computer science.
