POSITION:                             Employee Development Specialist (Branch Services)

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Develops and delivers systems, procedures, new accounts, products, and member advocacy-based training for Branch Services employees. Facilitates training that assists staff in working with members to develop sound financial strategies to meet all their financial goals

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, develops, implements and delivers comprehensive teller and new accounts training programs. Reviews and updates course materials on a regular basis to ensure accuracy, timeliness and relevance.

  • Delivers product knowledge and operations training to support the achievement and maintenance of the highest level of quality service in branches.

  • Responsible for the instructional design process and training delivery of assigned training projects, including developing training materials.

  • Conducts needs assessments to identify gaps in training effectiveness that directly influence the goals of the credit union.

  • Partners with key stakeholders to integrate, support, and reinforce operations coaching programs.

  • Develops learning competencies and uses methods such as observations, assessments and credit union results to evaluate and measure program effectiveness and consistency.

  • Facilitates effective skill training for staff using a variety of delivery methods including face-to-face, online self-study, on-the-job and virtual instructor led training.

  • Facilitates other training programs, as needed, including new hire onboarding, policies and procedures, systems, compliance, lending, and Sales & Service.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to develop materials and facilitate effective training sessions that deepen member relationships.

  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply adult learning principles in designing and delivering training programs.

  • Working knowledge of instructional design frameworks (ADDIE).

  • Advanced skills with MS Office Products, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Ability to lead groups of people, set expectations, create learning goals and objectives and coach others

  • Sound understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, procedures and government regulations

  • Demonstrate core competency of credit union computer programs/systems

  • Ability to work independently and motivate others to achieve goals.

  • Ability to successfully tailor communications according to the audience.

  • Detailed oriented and maintains confidentiality at all times.

  • Working knowledge of project management principles.

  • Provides the highest level of service to internal and external clients.

  • Promotes teamwork and a corporative effort among employees.

  • Excellent time management, task prioritization, organization and planning skills

 

 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • BA/BS in Education, Training, Business or related field.

  • A minimum of three years previous experience in training and development; or minimum of five years of education and experience with a financial institution in a Member Experience/Branch Role

 

 

Work hours may be scheduled Monday through Saturday.
