Job Description:
- Assisting with Financial Reports: Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions accurately and ensure that entries are posted correctly in the accounting system.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment collection, and vendor management.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects as needed.
Experience:
- Education: Major degree in Accounting, Finance, or CPA.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts, including debits/credits, accruals, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to support decision-making.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when recording financial transactions and preparing reports.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently in a team environment and willingness to learn from senior colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Certification (Optional): Pursuing or holding a professional accounting certification, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a plus.
