TITLE: Human Resources Assistant
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer 1-year Human Resources experience
Ability to communicate effectively through written material and oral presentation
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent teamwork skills
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
The Human Resource Assistant works in cooperation with the Director of
Human Resources assisting with compliance reporting, Benefit administration, workers compensation benefits and company insurance renewals. The HR assistant position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Maintain OSHA reports, filings and logs
Responsible for EEO reporting
Compiling and reporting employee insurance enrollment for ACA requirements
Reconciling insurance benefit invoices
Assist with HR policies and procedures
Assist with employee inquiries and address accordingly

Assist with reports and presentations for internal communications
Assist in communicating benefits, policies and safety procedures
Assists with benefit programs and coordinating benefit informational meetings

This position has been designated Class III (see policy 9-001). Employees performing Class III duties are not at risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens. All Class III employees will not be offered Hepatitis B vaccination.

1. Ability to perform tasks involving frequent phone and computer use/data entry
2. Ability to effectively deal with a multitude of tasks
CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Agency personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor. In addition, agency personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job related skills and abilities. All agency personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.
