New Business Coordinator

This role works closely with the other New Business Coordinators to support application processing. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Operations and works closely with the Head of Insurance and Annuity Design Center. Together, you would serve career advisors and brokerage advisors to support and grow MassMutual Great Lakes.
Primary Responsibilities – Life Insurance and Annuities
- Review all applications for accuracy and completeness within 24 hours of receipt.
- Prompt and professional communications with advisors regarding incomplete/incorrect applications and business submissions
- Prompt & professional communications with advisors regarding status updates of business processing.
- Order medical requirements including APS reports within 24 hours for life insurance applications.
- Perform application data entry and file preparation all products utilizing the proper business submission tools
- Client Management System updated in real time as work is being completed (at all stages of underwriting & business processing)
- All requirements scanned and emailed to the home office within 24 hours of request
- Conduct policy assembly (policies that are submitted via mail or printing/assembly from electronic submitted via Compass) within 24-48 hours of receipt
- Daily follow-up of all pending business & business submissions that are Not In Good Order
- Daily connection with underwriters, case managers & business processer to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Consult & train new advisors on business submission tools
- Policies reported in a timely manner (insurance) & funds settled at broker dealer accurately (investment)
- New client onboarding and account opening
- Coordinate asset transfers
- Resolve client service requests
- Ensure well-informed with technology tools relating to business submission & processing for all product lines.
- General administrative support as requested.

- Hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am to 4 pm on Friday.
