Corporate Event Planner
The Corporate Event Planner plays a pivotal role in fostering a connected, engaging, and high-performing workplace culture. This position is responsible for planning and executing firm-wide events, staff engagement activities, and cultural initiatives that support employee and advisor recognition and retention. In addition to event management, the coordinator provides critical operational support, including office logistics and executive meeting coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences that reflect the firm’s core values.
What You'll Do:
Firm-Wide Events
- Plan and manage logistics for major firm-wide events, including scheduling, vendor coordination, and execution.
- Negotiate contracts
- Coordinate and direct Firm Event Planning Committee to ensure deadlines are being met
- Maintain and align the firm-wide events calendar, ensuring alignment with the Home Office Event Calendar and recognition travel schedules.
- Serve as event manager for key annual events, including:
- January: Firm Kick-Off Meeting & Recognition Event
- May: Spring Symposium (Investments)
- June: Leaders’ Conference
- August: Victory Campaign (Insurance & Annuities)
- December: Holiday Party
- Support recruitment efforts by planning and executing open houses and engagement opportunities when applicable.
Culture Initiatives
- Collaborate with the Culture Committee to design and implement a yearly culture calendar including programs that promote an inclusive and rewarding workplace.
- Manage planning, communications, and logistics for all culture-related activities and recognition events.
- Lead staff recognition efforts, including birthdays, anniversaries, and key life events (e.g., baby showers, weddings, retirements).
- Lead advisor recognition for exam passing and other career milestones.
- Coordinate and execute firm observances and celebrations, such as:
- Employee Appreciation Day
- Administrative Professionals Day
- Annual Staff Holiday Outing
- Misc. Events such as Opening Day, Masters Party, Friendsgiving, etc.
- Manage firm gifting programs and branded merchandise, including inventory management, ordering, and distribution for both staff and advisors.
- Own scheduling of off-site EOS meetings for the executive leadership team.
