Law Clerk - Government Contractor

Legal | Washington, D.C. | Full Time and Contract | From $70,000 to $80,000 per year

Intelligence Federal is a fast-growing federal contracting company seeking an experienced Law Clerk to support a federal government agency.

JOB DUTIES:

  • · Analyze the legal impact of legislative developments and administrative and judicial decisions, opinions, determinations, and rulings.

    · Conduct research for the preparation of legal opinions on matters of interest.

    · Perform substantive legal analysis of requests for information under the provisions of various acts in support of agency attorneys or other similar legal support functions which require knowledge of laws, precedent decisions, regulations, agency policies, and judicial or administrative proceedings.

    · At this level, Law Clerk will assist in the evaluation, development and litigation of cases may perform the following duties:

    o Examines and evaluates information in case files, for case litigation worthiness and appropriate titles of law in support of agency attorneys.

    o Determines the need for additional information, independent surveys, evidence, and witnesses, and plans a comprehensive approach to obtain this information; Through
    onsite visits, interviews, and review of records on operations, looks for and evaluates the
    relevance and worth of evidence in support of agency attorneys.

    o Identifies and categorizes relevant records and other information contained within record keeping systems.

    o Develops statistics and tabulations to provide leads and supportive data for case litigation. Prepare charts, graphs, and tables to illustrate results.

    o Analyzes data, develops recommendations and justifications for the attorney(s).

    o Continues to work with the attorney(s) during the progress of the case, obtaining and Part I – The Schedule SIR No. 693KA9-21-R-00001 Section H – Special Contract Provisions.

    SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance.
    • Must be a US Citizen.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS & SELECTION CRITERIA

    · JD required.

    · Class action experience required.

    · A minimum of 2 years’ legal experience required.
