Description:

Under the direction of the Senior UX Manager, the Senior Product Designer will design scalable, accessible, end-to-end product experiences that drive both user and business impact. This role is responsible for leveraging Figma not just as a design tool, but as a system for collaboration, consistency, and delivery—shaping reusable patterns, contributing to design systems, and influencing product strategy through research, thoughtful problem framing, and high-quality craft. As a senior individual contributor, this designer will lead through influence, thrive in complexity, and partner closely with product and engineering to ensure designs are production-ready and scalable.

This role will also play a key part in raising the overall bar for design quality across the organization by improving consistency, mentoring through example, and strengthening design-to-engineering workflows. The Senior Product Designer will help define and evolve shared patterns, advocate for accessibility and usability best practices, and contribute to a culture of strong design thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement—extending their impact well beyond individual features.

What You'll Do:

  • Design scalable, reusable solutions that work across features and products rather than one-off screens
  • Apply service design thinking to create cohesive end-to-end experiences across onboarding, core product usage, and support touchpoints
  • Refactor and evolve UI patterns to improve consistency, usability, and accessibility across the platform
  • Use Figma at a skilled level to design, systematize, and communicate complex product experiences
  • Build and maintain reusable components, variants, and interactive patterns that scale across teams and products
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes to validate workflows, interactions, and system behavior with users and stakeholders
  • Prepare engineering-ready designs using Figma Dev Mode, annotations, and version control to support smooth handoff
  • Partner closely with engineering to refine component behavior and ensure design fidelity in implementation
  • Lead mixed-methods research, including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis, to inform product and roadmap decisions
  • Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights that influence prioritization and solution direction
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and collaborative design sessions to align teams around shared outcomes
  • Lead design critiques and provide feedback that strengthens system thinking, craft, and design quality
  • Champion inclusive design and accessibility by leading accessibility reviews and modeling best practices
  • Ensure designs meet WCAG and compliance standards as a baseline expectation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience designing user-centered digital products, preferably within complex, highly regulated, or mission-critical domains such as healthcare, government technology, public sector, emergency services, or enterprise platform
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design excellence, including research-led discovery, systems thinking, scalable and reusable solutions, and shipped work that shows impact from problem framing through implementation
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and variants, interactive prototyping, design system contributions, and design-to-engineering handoff using Dev Mode
  • Proven experience partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineers in agile, cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience with systems and service design, designing for interconnected product ecosystems and cohesive end-to-end experiences that span onboarding, core usage, and support touchpoint
  • Proven strength in user research and discovery, including interviews, usability testing, synthesis, and translating insights into clear recommendations that influence product strategy, prioritization, and roadmap decisions
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and defend design decisions, lead workshops and critiques, and shape direction through insight and influence rather than authority
  • Commitment to accessibility and inclusive design, including experience designing to WCAG standards, conducting accessibility reviews, and building compliance-ready solutions as a baseline expectation.
  • Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information
  • Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation
  • Ability to travel as required, up to 10%

This role can be performed 100% virtually anywhere in the US while following our Remote Work Policy. Deadline to apply is at least 3 days after the posting date listed.

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $90,000- $125,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
