Project Overview:
The client requires a Junior Technical Analyst to support the maintenance, upgrade, and migration of the New Jersey Environmental Management System (NJEMS) and its integrated systems.
This engagement supports a multi-year initiative to migrate NJEMS to a next-generation Pega platform, while ensuring continuity of operations for existing production systems.
The Junior Technical Analyst will provide direct technical support to the Contractor’s Project Manager and serve as a software developer for maintenance, enhancement, and support activities under the agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide software development expertise during requirements definition and design processes
Apply software engineering skills to develop new or enhanced software components
Provide on-call technical support (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday)
Monitor and manage the bug-tracking system daily to ensure timely resolution of verified software issues
Support system integration, upgrades, and migration initiatives
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements:
Experience (6 Months to 1 Year in Each Area):
Supporting environmental IT projects in the public sector (Federal, State, or Local)
Working with client/server or web-based applications
Working with Sybase PowerBuilder and Sybase PowerDesigner OR working with Java Transaction Access Program (jTAP), Java, JavaScript, and AJAX
Working with Oracle databases to develop PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
Working with Atlassian JIRA Project Management Software
Preferred Experience:
Experience with NJEMS, RSP, OPRATS, DataMiner, RADIUS, COMPASS, LetterBuilder, PDF Processor, and Spreadsheet Processor
