Job Description

Role: Portfolio Intelligence Director

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46285 Onsite

AI-Enabled Enterprise Transformation Leader

Role Summary

The Portfolio Intelligence Director oversees complex, multi-program transformation portfolios by combining executive leadership with AI-driven delivery intelligence. This role is responsible for increasing enterprise-level execution certainty by illuminating systemic risks, accelerating executive decision-making, and elevating program leadership across the portfolio.

This is not a reporting aggregation role. It is a strategic orchestration role focused on foresight, clarity, and control at scale. AI is embedded as a decision-augmentation engine, enabling the Director to move from reactive oversight to predictive portfolio leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level oversight across multiple transformation initiatives
  • Identify systemic risks, cross-program dependencies, and delivery drift patterns
  • Translate portfolio signals into clear trade-offs and strategic recommendations
  • Accelerate executive decision cycles through insight-driven governance
  • Coach and elevate Program Intelligence Leads to operate with clarity and courage
  • Shape expansion of the Intelligent Program Office model across the enterprise

AI & Intelligence Fluency (Core Requirement)

The Portfolio Intelligence Director must demonstrate advanced, hands-on fluency with AI-enabled tools and agentic workflows, including:

  • Sophisticated use of ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and other enterprise AI platforms for portfolio synthesis and scenario modeling
  • Designing structured prompts to generate executive-ready portfolio insights
  • Stress-testing mitigation strategies using AI-assisted analysis
  • Working with or conceptualizing AI agents that monitor risk signals, milestone drift, and cross-program dependencies
  • Ensuring responsible, human-in-the-loop AI governance in regulated environments

This role requires strategic AI orchestration capability — not passive tool usage.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years leading large-scale enterprise transformation portfolios
  • Experience operating within complex, regulated, multi-vendor environments
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven record of reducing escalation volatility and increasing delivery predictability
  • Systems thinker with high political acuity and business judgment

What Success Looks Like

  • Systemic risks are identified before becoming executive escalations
  • Portfolio-level visibility replaces siloed program reporting
  • Decision latency decreases across governance forums
  • Program Leaders expand span of control through AI leverage
  • Executive confidence in transformation delivery measurably increases
