Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

Grimshaw London is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to provide guidance and support to project teams and departments on the use of core business support systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the London studio and ensure that our Business Systems continue to evolve and support our growing business. You will be responsible for training Grimshaw employees to elevate their knowledge, understanding, acceptance and use of Grimshaw Systems. Once settled in the role, you will get involved in reviewing and reporting on company processes and evaluating key areas for improvement to ensure that efficiencies are met.

The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to build relationships and gain trust quickly. They will also need to be highly organised with a “can do” attitude and a cheerful disposition.

Principal responsibilities

Support, maintain and develop company systems (includes but not limited to);

  • Reporting tool (Qlik)

Generate reports to analyse business performance

  • ERP System (CMAP)

Timesheets, Expenses, Project Accounting, Reporting.

  • Intranet (Atlas)

Quality Management, Practice Management, Policies & Processes, User Engagement.

  • Digital Image Library (Open Asset)

Image Management, Template Creation, Employee Module.

  • Project Management System (Newforma)

Email Archiving, Document Control, Document Transfer

  • Project Life Cycle

Review and maintain a consistent level of data integrity across core systems

  • Become a power user of core systems.
  • Learning and fully understanding the data landscape in databases and applications
  • Using and developing data collection processes.
  • Gathering end user reporting and dashboard requirements.
  • Developing dashboards and creating reports and supporting users with them.
  • Continually improve systems by identifying gaps and making recommendations.
  • Analyse and report on user adoption of existing core systems to ensure that there is a 'return of investment'.
  • Communicate with heads of departments about common frustrations, hindrances and other issues that interrupt their workflow.
  • Oversee the life cycle of changes to business systems and prepare detailed reports for executive management.
  • Provide updates of Business Systems developments via written and oral communication.

Skills & Competencies

  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skillset in data visualisation tools like Qlik, Tableau, Power BI
  • Excellent analytical and investigatory capability
  • Precise reporting and presentation skills
  • Confident learning new software.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Previous experience developing, managing systems.
  • Positive disposition with an aptitude for teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.

To ensure that all work undertaken complies with requirements laid down in the Company Manual, including quality assurance, environmental management and Health and Safety.

The role attracts a salary of £45,000, as well as a competitive benefits package.
