Business Development Assistant

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about supporting business growth? We’re looking for a Business Development Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative marketing, communications and business development team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Business Development Lead and bidding team to identify new opportunities, manage bids from start to finish and support strategic initiatives. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our processes run smoothly and our proposals are of the highest quality.
What you’ll do
- Research and track new business opportunities in key sectors.
- Support the preparation and delivery of bids and proposals, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain and update client lists and project data sheets.
- Manage and organise key information for bidding and content libraries.
- Collaborate with designers to create engaging, high-quality materials.
- Assist with market research and sector strategy initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe InDesign.
- Previous experience in bid management or a similar role is desirable.
- Interest in design, architecture or the built environment is a plus.

The role attracts a salary of £34,000 - £38,000 as well as a competitive benefits package.
