The Team Leader plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical execution and strategic product development. This position requires a unique blend of leadership skills, technical expertise, and a collaborative spirit. The Team Leader must guide and mentor team members, facilitating their professional growth while also actively participating in problem resolution and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. This role involves balancing technical expertise with project management skills to drive the successful development and delivery of high-quality software products.
The Team Leader has a bigger impact beyond themselves and their immediate projects and has a major role in the team's decision-making process. They also contribute widely to making others better via code review, mentoring, and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the whole team sprint and quarterly team delivery and is the best partner of the Product Manager and dedicated SRE.
- People Management and Coaching: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth. Act as a coach to enhance their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.
- Technical Leadership and Hands-on Involvement: Maintain an active role in coding and technical decision-making, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Guide the team in adopting new technologies and best practices.
- Strategic Partnership with Product Owner: Act as the 'best friend' for the Product Owner, collaborating closely to shape product requirements, define scope, and ensure the team's work aligns with business goals.
- Project and Quality Management: Oversee project timelines, delivery, and quality. Implement and maintain rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborative Team Environment: Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and innovative team culture. Encourage continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact between the engineering team, product management, and other stakeholders. Ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and progress.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Python, Ruby on Rails is preferred; React.js/full stack experience is ideal.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in technical leadership.
- Experience in people management, ideally in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong hands-on technical skills with a deep understanding of software development processes and best practices.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
- Passion for quality and delivery excellence, with a keen eye for detail.
