We are seeking a talented Operations Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This role will be instrumental in supporting our SRE initiatives by analyzing business requirements, identifying system improvements, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems and processes. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the SRE, Support and Professional services teams and stakeholders to understand business needs.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for automation, scalability, and reliability improvements.
- Develop detailed business requirements documentation, use cases, and functional specifications to guide the development and implementation of SRE solutions.
- Work closely with Product developers, SRE engineers, and Sales professionals to build reports about current and future state of the system.
- Oversight infrastructure capacity. Governance infrastructure resources in public clouds (AWS & GCP) and external service vendors.
- Execute cleanup activities for clients data and release unused infrastructure resources.
- Monitor system metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Understand budget and cost projections
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Systems Analyst or Operational Engineer, preferably in a SRE or IT operations environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Strong verbal skills in English & Tamil
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business and operational requirements. Attention to details.
- Strong accountability for execution on time and completion of the projects and the tasks
- Proficiency in business process modeling, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, NewRelic, CloudWatch ) is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
