SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As we grow internationally, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager to join Finalsite team in Poland. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience, strong management and execution skills to lead SRE team effectively, ensuring the reliability, scalability, cost, and performance of our infrastructure.

Hybrid / Remote - Anywhere within the Krakow, Poland - B2B Contract


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of SRE engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    • Set clear objectives and expectations, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.

    • Drive the adoption of best practices in reliability, automation, and performance optimization.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on GCP and AWS.

    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for critical services.

    • Lead incident response and act as incident manager. Drive the team to execute root cause analysis, and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence.

  • Execution and Delivery:

    • Manage and prioritize the SRE team's workload, ensuring timely delivery of projects and tasks.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.

    • Continuously evaluate and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.

  • Influence and Collaboration:

    • Advocate for reliability and performance within the broader engineering organization.

    • Participate in technical discussions, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

    • Represent the SRE team in cross-departmental meetings and external forums.

    • Partnering with application development team and architecture leaders to deliver operational readiness for the new products and features

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:

    • Extensive experience with GCP and AWS (GCP preferred).

    • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).

    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby).

    • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm).

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI).

  • Management Skills:

    • Proven experience in managing and leading engineering teams.

    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to handle conflicts and provide effective resolutions.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles.

    • Minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.

    • Experience with large-scale, distributed systems.
