Summary of Responsibility

The Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and aligning and innovating our products, offerings, and engineering technologies. This position is ideal for a hands-on person who can enable our engineering team to succeed and responsibly deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be one of the key engineers in our team located in Poland. Your role will involve not only hands-on development but also influencing aligning initiatives, delivering high-impact solutions and building robust solutions with high quality.

Hybrid / Remote - Anywhere within Krakow, Poland. B2B option for this role.

Finalsite is a global company and to enable strong collaboration, we have established common core working hours. Candidates should be comfortable working from 11:00-20:00 CEST, with core working hours being 16:00-19:00 CEST

Essential Functions

• Technical Mastery: Provide hands-on technical experience and troubleshooting in Ruby, Ruby on rails, AWS, including code reviews, debugging and performance tuning.
• Project Delivery: Commit to and consistently deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations. Ensure timely execution while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strategic Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges with innovative approaches. Leverage strong problem solving skills to navigate and resolve issues effectively.
• Collaborative Excellence: Work seamlessly with cross-functional and cross-geographical teams, demonstrating exceptional collaboration skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong technical proficiency and debugging skills are highly desirable (must have Ruby & Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs, React.js and Node.js knowledge )
• Hands-on experience handling cloud computing (GCP & AWS)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL and NoSQL) and ORM technologies as well as Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD for smooth deployments
• Experience with APNs (Apple Push Notification Service) and FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging and Redis a plus.
• Demonstrated experience as a strong individual contributor with a track record of delivering results
• An agile work ethic and ability to adjust quickly to changes
