Software Engineer II (.NET) - India

The Software Engineer II will contribute to the development and enhancement of our products, features and engineering practices. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can write clean, reliable code and collaborate effectively with team members. You will participate in end-to-end development, support technical implementation and help build scalable and high-performing solutions under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.

Remote / Hybrid - Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Essential Functions

Technical Mastery:

• Assist in developing and maintaining applications using C# and .NET (Framework 4.5+, MVC, and .NET Core).
• Contribute to building Web APIs and backend components as directed.
• Write clean, readable, and testable code while following established coding standards.

Cloud & Database Exposure

• Work closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture, development workflows, and best practices.
• Gain exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Good understanding of SQL databases and basic NoSQL concepts.

Frontend Support

• Assist with UI development using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS where required.
• Collaborate with team members to support full-stack features.

Quality & Collaboration

• Help with debugging, testing, and documenting features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Product, and Design.
• Follow sprint processes and deliver tasks with guidance from senior team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum hands off experience should be 3-4+ yrs
• Proficient in C# with strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4.5+ and ASP.NET MVC.
• Solid exposure to .NET Core development.
• Hands-on experience with Web APIs, WCF Services and Windows Services (preferably Web API).
• Strong working knowledge of SQL databases and familiarity with NoSQL technologies.
• Strong knowledge in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
