Summary of Responsibility

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and aligning and innovating our products, offerings, and engineering technologies.

You will collaborate with other technical staff to create effective and reliable software updates and hotfixes to support our user base. As a software QA tester, you can put your passion for QA testing to work and help optimize our users’ experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Assurance Excellence: Demonstrate a strong understanding of software testing principles, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking. Ensure high-quality releases by identifying and reporting defects with precision.
  • Test Execution & Coverage: Conduct thorough manual testing across different platforms, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing. Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and improve testability.
  • Process Improvement: Advocate for best QA practices, actively contributing to test plan improvements, documentation, and bug prevention strategies. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in testing workflows.
  • Growth & Automation Readiness: Take initiative in applying automation tools and frameworks, with the goal of transitioning into a fully automation-focused role. Work closely with senior QA engineers to develop foundational automation skills and gradually integrate test automation into the QA process.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Communicate test results effectively to stakeholders. Provide constructive feedback to developers and work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of quality practices into the software development lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Experience with software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, exploratory, and UI testing. Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar), with a willingness to upskill in automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in manual testing across web, mobile, and API layers, with a keen eye for detail in identifying defects and inconsistencies.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Java, or JavaScript) with a willingness to learn and write test automation.
  • Understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries to validate data integrity.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance with familiarity with automation frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze software defects effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to improve quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe, with experience participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
