SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Junior Business Development Representative (Jr. BDR) is an entry-level role responsible for supporting pipeline growth through outbound prospecting and timely follow-up on inbound interest. This position serves as a developmental pathway into Business Development and broader sales roles, emphasizing skill building, high-quality activity execution, and strong CRM discipline.

Working under the guidance of senior Business Development and Sales team members, the Jr. BDR executes established outreach campaigns, schedules qualified discovery meetings, and develops foundational sales competencies. This role is best suited for individuals early in their careers who are motivated to learn consultative selling practices in a structured, high-growth environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Pipeline Development & Prospecting
  • Execute outbound prospecting activities across phone, email, video, and social channels aligned to defined campaigns.

  • Follow up on inbound leads promptly, ensuring a consistent and professional first experience with Finalsite.

  • Conduct introductory qualification conversations using approved frameworks and messaging.

  • Schedule qualified meetings that contribute to pipeline creation and sales opportunities.

  • Support event-related outreach and post-campaign follow-up initiatives.

Operational Execution & CRM Excellence
  • Maintain accurate, timely data in Salesforce or other CRM tools, including activity tracking and account research.

  • Meet or exceed established daily and weekly activity benchmarks.

  • Research target accounts and contacts to support personalized outreach.

  • Partner closely with senior BDRs and Account Executives to ensure smooth lead handoff and collaboration.

Learning & Development
  • Participate actively in onboarding, coaching sessions, call reviews, and ongoing sales training.

  • Demonstrate strong coachability and willingness to implement feedback.

  • Build foundational knowledge of Finalsite solutions, ideal client profiles, and messaging frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, marketing, internships, or other client-facing roles preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication skills with comfort engaging prospects across multiple channels.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated curiosity, resilience, and interest in building a long-term career in sales or revenue development.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
