About Terpene Belt Farms:

Terpene Belt Farms is dedicated to cultivating high-quality hemp in California. The Company holds valid registrations in multiple counties to cultivate hemp pursuant to State and Federal law. The Company deals exclusively with hemp, but our experienced team is composed of business veterans from both the cannabis and hemp industries. 


About the Position:

We are looking for a driven candidate to join our cultivation operations as a Cultivation Associate to support our hemp cultivation operations in Alameda County. This associate is a motivated, friendly, and passionate team member who assists in day-to-day operations throughout the cultivation space. This is a person who has a proven track record of hard work and thoroughly enjoys working outdoors in a farm atmosphere. A passion for farm work coupled with a strong adherence to protocol is required for this role. 


Responsibilities:

  • Train for and adapt to several roles in the facility to meet day-to-day requirements: assisting the team with cultivation operations and facilitating safety measures at all times.

  • Maintain an overall clean and organized environment to assist fellow staff members.

  • Assist team members with laborious farm tasks.

  • Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs.

  • Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress.

  • Assist with operating and repairing irrigation equipment. 

  • Adhere to and promote a culture of compliance as it pertains to state and company regulations.

  • Assist and support team members with positivity and proactivity in all day-to-day matters. 

  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.

  • Operate farm machinery

  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed or warranted, by management.


Key Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age and the ability to pass live scan fingerprinting and regulatory background check

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Proven organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation. 

  • Be willing to travel at times (reimbursed).

  • Ability to stand, sit, or conduct manual labor for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work in outdoor heat.

  • Interest in agriculture

  • Must be comfortable with lifting heavy material.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and managers.

  • Efficacy with technology and inventory tracking systems.

  • Takes initiative and works well independently.

  • Able to meet goals under tight time constraints.

  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers and management.

  • Managing time and respecting protocol under outdoor farming conditions are a must.

  • “Handiness”: skills in Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar trades is a big plus
