Technical Recruiter

Building the world’s first comprehensive map of human knowledge requires assembling an elite crew of extraordinary individuals sourced from all around the world to solve problems that have never been tackled before. In the areas of knowledge graph construction, web-scale natural language processing, computer vision, and information extraction, we provide a unique environment which combines web-scale impact, cutting-edge research, and startup agility.

This recruiter role is our first in-house recruiting position, reporting directly to our company’s CEO. They will work closely with leadership to learn the existing business, identify key talent and knowledge acquisition areas, and develop repeatable recruiting strategies and processes. They will own the full-cycle recruiting pipeline and be a key stakeholder in the company’s success. 


  • Learn the Diffbot technology, the key research areas, and the existing recruiting process

  • Receive training on how to query the Knowledge Graph to identify talent and passive candidates

  • Work with leadership and functional team stakeholders to gather talent requirements, plan the hiring roadmap, and coordinate onsite interviews

  • Collaborate with our academic partners to manage PhD internships and visiting scholars programs

  • Own the recruiting pipeline, adopt tools, define and measure goals, and deliver on targets

  • Own the full-cycle candidate experience, from initial outreach, to close

  • Represent the company and hire based on the company values: Originality, Integrity, Improvement, and Empathy


  • 5+ years of technical recruiting experience with agency or in-house team

  • Success with recruiting machine learning research positions

  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System

  • Experience partnering with external recruiters, university relations

Preferred Skills

  • BS in engineering or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning

  • Success with recruiting software engineering and product management positions

  • Has managed a team of recruiters
