Sales Development Representative (SDR)

The next generation of intelligent consumer and business applications all need access to clean, structured data. The Diffbot Sales Development Representative (SDR) will focus on being the first line of outreach and response to qualify sales leads looking for data solutions. Potential sales prospects will range from individual developers, to startups, to Fortune 500 companies -- the goal of the SDR will be to qualify and identify prospects to adopt Diffbot’s suite of products.

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive customer growth by identifying and qualifying new Diffbot prospects, to increase customer pipeline for the Data Solutions sales team

  • Qualify sales leads, serving as the point of contact to potential customers in the discovery process

  • Understand each sales prospect’s data needs, and be able to document and communicate them professionally

Role Requirements

  • Between 6+ months to 1 year relevant sales experience, or New College Grads from a 4 year accredited university

  • Exposure to B2B sales activities -- lead qualification, follow-up, scheduling sales calls

  • Track record of success in helping qualify and convert sales leads into potential customers

  • Computer literacy; experience using Salesforce CRM

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with web development -- can speak the language of APIs, JSON, REST and have some knowledge of a front-end language such as Python, Ruby, etc (this can also be learned on the job)

  • Experience communicating with and selling to C-level and VP level contacts at startups and enterprise corporations

  • Be able to work independently in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment

  • Be able to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solutions

  • Passion and interest in AI, machine learning and data extraction topics

  • Goal driven, proactive, outgoing and energetic individual
