Position Overview
The Teaching & Learning Specialist drives instructional and learning transformation across federal school clusters in Islamabad. You'll coach teachers to interpret student data, design precise interventions, and ensure every student actively engages with Khan Academy tools. Your mission is to build teacher capacity that fundamentally changes how learning happens, transforming classrooms where students fall further behind into environments where every learner, regardless of their starting point, receives the targeted support they need to close gaps, master key concepts, and achieve real academic progress.
Duration: 12 months (April 2026 - March 2027) subject to extension
Location: Islamabad-based, primarily field-based in with regular school visits
Reporting to: Regional Manager Partnerships and Implementation

Key Responsibilities
Teacher Coaching
● Provide regular coaching on using dashboards, interpreting data, planning differentiated lessons, and using Khanmigo AI tools
● Conduct classroom and lab observations to assess teaching quality and model effective practices
● Coach teachers on ensuring students engage with Khan Academy tools in class and labs, helping build actionable lab session plans
● Facilitate peer learning communities and work with government counterparts modeling coaching methods they'll sustain
● Partner with school principals on monitoring teacher performance, student engagement, and reviewing student data
Data-Driven Interventions
● Analyze platform data to identify learning patterns, struggling students, and engagement gaps
● Work with teachers to translate data into classroom and lab instructional decisions
● Design targeted interventions: remediation for struggling learners, enrichment for advanced students, flexible grouping strategies
● Track student usage, activity, and engagement levels; partner with Learning Implementation Associates and Supervisor to track intervention effectiveness
Student Engagement & Learning Quality
● Ensure teachers effectively facilitate lab sessions where students actively engage with Khan Academy tools and stay on task
● Observe how teachers support students during lab time, providing guidance to maximize individual learning and skill development
● Work with teachers to identify students showing low engagement or struggling with platform usage, creating targeted support plans
● Coach teachers on designing lab activities that directly address student skill gaps identified in classroom instruction
Who You Are
● Bachelor's in Education or related field (Master's preferred) with 5+ years teaching experience showing proven student results
● 2+ years in teacher coaching or instructional leadership with experience in data-driven and differentiated instruction
● Proficiency in Google Workspace; Excel/Google Sheets skills preferred; familiarity with Khan Academy or online learning platforms is a plus
● Strong data analysis skills to identify patterns and design targeted interventions
● Proven coaching ability through observation and feedback, with strategic problem-solving for teaching challenges
● Strong commitment to educational equity and belief that every teacher can grow to help every student succeed
● Strong communication skills in Urdu and fluency in English, should be able to explain technical concepts simply and build effective relationships with principals and teachers
● Self-driven and growth-oriented: identifies teaching quality issues early, takes action, and embraces feedback to continuously improve
● Organized, accountable, and takes ownership of instructional excellence across assigned school clusters
