Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project / Delivery Manager to lead the execution, coordination, and delivery governance of a large-scale Retail Execution Platform. This role is critical in ensuring that the program moves from planning through build, stabilization, go-live, and hypercare with strong control, transparency, and delivery discipline.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving delivery across multiple workstreams, managing interdependencies, tracking milestones, mitigating risks, and ensuring that teams remain aligned to agreed timelines and scope boundaries. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring close coordination with product, engineering, architecture, SAP, integration, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong program execution skills, a structured delivery mindset, and the ability to manage complexity across platform, application, and enterprise integration layers.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Planning and Execution Governance

  • Own overall delivery planning and execution governance for the Retail Execution Platform.
  • Establish and manage the delivery cadence across squads, workstreams, and external dependencies.
  • Drive structured program tracking with clear reporting on progress, risks, blockers, decisions, and milestone health.
  • Ensure work is executed in line with agreed timelines, sequencing, and phase objectives.
  • Maintain momentum across the delivery lifecycle from initial readiness through go-live and stabilization.
  • Define and govern sprint rhythms, delivery checkpoints, and reporting mechanisms across teams.
  • Ensure planning, execution, and review cycles are operating consistently and effectively.
  • Track delivery commitments against sprint and milestone plans, highlighting slippage and corrective actions.
  • Support teams in maintaining realistic but disciplined execution plans.
  • Promote delivery predictability through transparent planning and proactive issue management.

Risk, Dependency, and Issue Management

  • Build and operate a robust framework for identifying, tracking, and managing delivery risks.
  • Proactively manage cross-team dependencies across product, frontend, backend, middleware, SAP, identity, data, and testing teams.
  • Escalate risks early and drive mitigation planning with clear ownership and timelines.
  • Monitor critical path items and ensure dependency bottlenecks are surfaced before they impact delivery.
  • Maintain an active view of program health with particular focus on readiness blockers and coordination risks.
  • Protect delivery against uncontrolled scope changes and unplanned additions.
  • Ensure teams are executing against approved scope and phase commitments.
  • Work closely with product and engineering leads to prevent feature creep and preserve release focus.
  • Challenge requests that introduce delivery risk, timeline pressure, or unnecessary complexity.
  • Maintain strong governance around change impacts, delivery trade-offs, and release boundaries.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate across all major functions involved in platform delivery, including product, engineering, architecture, SAP, integration, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate program workshops, alignment sessions, planning meetings, readiness reviews, and issue-resolution forums.
  • Ensure all teams have clarity on what they own, how their work connects, and when their deliverables are needed.
  • Drive collaboration across teams working on tightly coupled platform components.
  • Act as the operational backbone of the program by keeping stakeholders aligned and execution moving.

Environment and Readiness Management

  • Ensure delivery environments, access prerequisites, and foundational setup are in place ahead of key build and testing phases.
  • Coordinate readiness across non-functional areas required for successful execution.
  • Track whether dependencies such as system access, integration touchpoints, test environments, and deployment prerequisites are available on time.
  • Reduce delivery friction by resolving readiness gaps early.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure the program is not delayed by avoidable environment or setup issues.

Integration and Enterprise Coordination

  • Manage delivery coordination across SAP and adjacent enterprise integration points.
  • Track timelines and readiness for integrations, middleware dependencies, authentication layers, and system connectivity.
  • Ensure enterprise system coordination does not become a hidden blocker to platform delivery.
  • Monitor external system dependencies and maintain visibility into risks related to upstream and downstream readiness.
  • Support teams in sequencing work realistically where platform functionality depends on enterprise enablement.
  • Lead program governance during go-live and immediate post-launch support.
  • Track production performance, incident trends, service levels, and business-critical KPIs during hypercare.
  • Coordinate issue triage and resolution across delivery and support teams.
  • Ensure transition from implementation mode to steady-state support is planned, documented, and controlled.
  • Drive post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future phases and releases.

Stakeholder Reporting and Communication

  • Provide clear and executive-friendly reporting on platform readiness, milestone health, delivery risks, and escalation items.
  • Communicate status in a way that supports timely decisions and removes ambiguity.
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand what is on track, what is at risk, and what actions are required.
  • Manage communication across both leadership and working-team levels.
  • Serve as a reliable point of coordination for program-level execution matters.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and execution-focused delivery leader with experience managing complex enterprise platform programs involving multiple teams, integration layers, and tight coordination cycles.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Project/Program Management, or Delivery Management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex enterprise technology programs across multiple teams and functions.
  • Experience managing Agile delivery models, sprint governance, milestone tracking, and release planning.
  • Strong experience in dependency management, risk governance, and executive reporting.
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms involving integration-heavy landscapes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead delivery across product, engineering, QA, architecture, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing go-live, hypercare, and transition to support for enterprise applications.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering retail execution, sales force automation, field operations, CRM, order management, or enterprise workflow platforms.
  • Familiarity with SAP-connected delivery landscapes and enterprise integration programs.
  • Experience in large SaaS or platform transformation programs with phased delivery models.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments where delivery discipline and coordination are critical.
