Position Overview:
Contracted Position: June 2025-October 2025
The Special Projects position supports the success of CISNC’s special events, focusing on planning, organization, and execution of the event. This position takes a lead role in soliciting sponsorships, securing items for live and silent auction, show flow and script, event logistics, youth speakers, recruiting/directing event volunteers, coordinating print materials & signage, and more. This position helps advance CISNC’s mission by building community engagement through strategic fundraising efforts that directly support youth and programs.
Location & Core Business Hours:
CISNC State Office; 30+ hour per week; On-Site
This is a contracted full-time position to run from June 2025 through October 2025, with flexible hours based on the project timeline and event schedule. Some evening and weekend availability may be required during peak periods, including the event itself.
Essential Functions
This position will work closely with the VP of External Affairs, CISNC staff, volunteers, and community partners to secure fundraising items, packages, and ensure smooth operations leading to the event. The role involves item solicitation, tracking, package creation, description writing, and auction site preparation, as well as event-day setup and support. Mileage will be reimbursed when completing pick-ups, deliveries and any other event-related activities that take place outside of the state office.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with fundraising, event planning, or donor engagement is a plus.
- Comfortable with Excel sheets, and virtual collaboration tools.
- Availability for in-person meetings, item pickup/delivery, and on-site event participation.
- Volunteer management.
- Event software knowledge a plus (“Greater Giving”).
Required Education/Experience
· High School Diploma
· Event planning and execution experience – at least one year or more
Starting pay: $22.00/hour
